ANGHARAD WYN JONES - HARPIST . . .

Angharad Wyn Jones has developed a strong reputation over recent years as an accomplished solo and orchestral performer.

Her reputation as one of the countries best young harpists has been reinforced by numerous successes including winner of the Solo Harp competition at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, Urdd Eisteddfor, Cerdd Dantt Festival, Texaco Young Musician of North Wales in 1999 and 2000 and semi finalist of the Young Musician of the Year in Wales and prize winner at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod.

During the last few years Angharad has been a student of the Royal Academy of Music in London, studying with the highly acclaimed Prof. Skaila Kanga. She has also been performing in numerous solo concerts, wedding and orchestras such as the National Youth Orchestra of Wales (principal harp), Cyprus State Orchestra (Nutcracker Ballet 2004), Kensington Symphony Orchestra and Royal Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra with who she appeared with Sir Elton John in the summer of 2004 tour of the UK and North America.
